The Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) is making major contributions to regenerative medicine and advanced therapies research and innovation.

Our high impact work would not be possible without the efforts of our researchers, leadership advisory board, expert committees, valued stakeholders and generous donors.

Research & Innovation

Regenerative medicine harnesses the body’s regenerative capabilities to treat injury, cancer, aging and inherited disease. Led by global leaders and rising stars, our research and development pipeline spans the regenerative medicine value chain, encompassing diverse scientific disciplines and enabled by leading technologies and world-class facilities.

Our Research Teams

Deciphering the molecular mechanisms underlying congenital heart defects.

Investigating epigenetics and molecules associated with healthy aging and exercise.

Understanding heart valve development, disease, and regeneration.

Elucidating novel gene networks that drive growth and identity in the early embryo.

Understanding cardiovascular disease which is the major killer worldwide and in Australia.

Researching the mechanisms of muscle regeneration in a variety of disease models.
