Dr Jan Manent is a researcher and coordinator at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute in Melbourne, where he studies gene regulatory networks that control growth and patterning of the early mammalian embryo using cellular and animal models, including pluripotent stem cells.

Educated at Pierre and Marie Curie – Sorbonne University in Paris, France, Dr Manent has a rich history in the academic and biotechnology environments, with postdoctoral trainings at the Harvard Medical School and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center, and as a research scientist at Cell Mogrify. He is also an executive board member of the Australia and New Zealand Society for Cell and Developmental Biology.

Dr Manent’s expertise lies in developmental biology, stem cells, genomics and genetics, and he has published in internationally recognised journal. His career showcases a dedication to advancing research and mentoring in the scientific community.
