Madeleine’s influence extends into regulatory oversight as a Director of the Victorian Business Licensing Authority (BLA), where she is responsible for the Victorian Professional Engineering Registration Scheme. She also holds a leadership position as Co-Chair of the National Future Cities Taskforce. Madeleine has developed substantial networks and high-level experience across government, defence, infrastructure, construction, research, and high-tech sectors.

A qualified Chartered Professional Engineer and EngExec, Madeleine has demonstrated exceptional leadership through roles such as the first female Chair of Engineers Australia Vic, notably leading the organisation’s response to the Black Saturday Bushfire crisis, and later serving as a National Director. She was the Founding Director of the multi-award-winning Monash Industry Team Initiative (MITI) and served as Monash’s Director of Industry Engagement. She actively serves on numerous boards, including the Victorian Advanced Manufacturing Council, Co-Chair Industry Advisory for the National Pavement Research Hub (SPARC), and continues volunteer advisory roles for Monash University in areas like STEM Education and Mental Health in Construction.

In recognition of her significant contributions to Engineering and Education, Madeleine was honoured with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2017. Her professional honours also include being appointed as a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. Madeleine was appointed to the Leadership Advisory Board of the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) in November 2025.
