Mandhri Abeysooriya

BIOINFORMATICIAN

Biography

Dr Mandhri Abeysooriya is a bioinformatician at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI), Monash University. Her work sits at the intersection of bioinformatics, biostatistics, and multi-omics data analysis, supporting a range of research projects through data analysis, workflow development, and computational support. Her expertise includes multi-omics data analysis, DNA methylation, reproducible bioinformatics workflows, and the computational infrastructure needed to support complex biological research.

Dr Abeysooriya completed her PhD at Deakin University, where her research focused on large-scale epigenetic and multi-omics studies, including cross-tissue ageing analyses and the development of robust pipelines for analysing high-dimensional biological data.

In her current role at ARMI, she contributes to a variety of projects by providing bioinformatics support across both the technical and analytical aspects of research. She has particular strength in building and improving computational workflows, supporting analysis environments, and helping to ensure that large-scale bioinformatics studies run efficiently, reproducibly, and reliably.
