The Office of the Director (OOD) at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) is a dedicated leadership team that drives Strategy 2030 and enables the Institute to advance world‑class research, education and innovation. Collaborating across ARMI, the OOD leads strategy, operations and engagement—supporting research excellence, partnerships, policy, fundraising, infrastructure and student programs. The team enables long‑term financial sustainability and effective governance, ensuring responsible stewardship of philanthropic and corporate investment. The OOD also works with ARMI leadership to foster safe, inclusive environments and highlight ARMI’s scientific achievements, translational potential and opportunities for impactful partnership in regenerative medicine.

Dr Marguerite Evans-Galea AM

Deputy Director, Strategy & Planning | Head, Office of the Director

Dr Evans-Galea is an accomplished executive and board director change-making at the interface of industry, academia and government. In 2025, Dr Evans-Galea was appointed Deputy Director, Strategy and Planning and is part of ARMI’s Executive. She leads the development and implementation of the Institute’s strategy and vision to drive sustainability and growth, develop the Institute’s diverse research leaders and rising stars, and support ARMI’s mission: the discovery and innovation of regenerative medicine and advanced therapies.

Dr Dianne Ruka

Institute Manager | Manager, Office of the Director

Dr Dianne Ruka has extensive experience in scientific research, project and research management, science outreach and event coordination, as well as teaching and learning. Joining the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI), Monash University as Institute Manager in 2024, Dr Ruka previously worked as the Centre Manager of the ARC Training Centre for Cell and Tissue Engineering Technologies within the Faculty of Engineering.

Dr Yardenah Brickman

Resources & Scientific Services Manager | Safety Office | Member, Office of the Director

Dr Yardenah Brickman is a scientist passionate about creating a safe and productive workplace where staff and students can focus on their research knowing they are doing so in a safe and compliant environment. After more than a decade supporting and managing large teaching laboratories in biology, chemistry, engineering and medicine, Dr Brickman transitioned to supporting and enabling research activities with a focus on occupational health and safety (OHS).

Jane McCausland

Student Programs Manager | Member, Office of the Director

Jane McCausland is a key member of the Office of the Director and Education teams at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI), Monash University, where she plays a central role in student coordination, academic program support, and institute‑wide educational initiatives. She serves as an Honours Coordinator and a primary contact for ARMI’s Honours and Higher Degree Research programs, guiding students through application processes and supporting their academic progression.

Rodney Glanvill

Aquatic Manager, AquaCore | Member, Office of the Director

Rodney Glanvill is the Aquatic Manager at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute’s AquaCore facility at Monash University. He enables and supports biomedical research through expert animal care and facility operations, overseeing the husbandry and welfare of diverse aquatic species, from zebrafish and medaka to axolotls and sharks, ensuring high standards of health and compliance.

Justin Stepnell

Technical Assistant | Member, Office of the Director

Justin Stepnell is a Technical Assistant at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) at Monash University, Clayton, Melbourne. Mr Stepnell has contributed to eight internationally recognised publications and developed skills and expertise that spans several critical scientific fields, including antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobials and mosquitoes.

Katrina Vojlay

Executive Assistant to the Director | Member, Office of the Director

Katrina Vojlay joined the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) in 2026 as Executive Assistant to the Director, Professor Peter Currie. She supports the coordination of strategic, operational and administrative priorities across the Institute, drawing on extensive experience in executive administration and stakeholder engagement.

Argie Christopoulos

Senior Administration and Engagement Officer

Argie is the Senior Administration and Engagement Officer at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI), where she works within the Office of the Director providing administrative and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of projects, communications and events. Argie brings a strong background in administration, coordination and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on delivering high-quality support across professional team environments. She is passionate about supporting collaboration and contributing to the smooth and effective delivery of initiatives aligned with ARMI’s strategic and operational goals.
