World-class infrastructure

The Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI) has access to world-class facilities that provide vital expertise, resources and support to our scientists and their research. These facilities provide valuable services used every day by the research teams at ARMI, giving our researchers access to disease models that accelerate the development and translation of regenerative medicine, positioning ARMI as a global leader in this field.

Multiple platforms are available as part of Monash University’s Research Infrastructure, with animal healthcare facilities overseen by a veterinarian who is certified in laboratory animal medicine and can provide expert advice and training. All research programs involving animals are approved through the appropriate regulatory and ethics bodies. These facilities and services follow best practice in animal care and welfare. Our strict regulatory compliance is overseen by the Office of Research Ethics and Integrity. Facilities are also licenced by Animal Welfare Victoria.

Highly qualified professional and technical staff induct researchers into these facilities, providing expert training and assistance. Researchers also complete comprehensive mandatory training annually.
