Dr Hongbin Jin

Biography

Dr Hongbin Jin is a Research Fellow at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute (ARMI), Monash University, where his work focuses on the earliest stages of embryonic development across species including zebrafish, mouse and human. His research investigates how cells acquire distinct fates and identities, integrating comparative developmental biology with advanced live‑imaging and microinjection approaches. Dr Jin holds a PhD in Developmental Biology from Tsinghua University awarded in 2022, and a Bachelor degree in Biotechnology from Tongji University awarded in 2015. His background spans basic research and clinical embryology, strengthening his interest in improving human embryo development and reproductive outcomes. Dr Jin has contributed to several peer‑reviewed publications, including a 2024 review on the cellular mechanisms of monozygotic twinning published in Human Reproduction Update and a 2022 research paper published in National Science Review. Hongbin is a member of ARMI’s Zenker Group.
