Dr Robin Grolaux is a bioinformatician specialising in epigenomics, with a focus on DNA methylation and ageing. He is a postdoctoral researcher within the Eynon Lab, where he develops statistical frameworks to characterise sex-specific and non-linear DNA methylation trajectories across the lifespan.

He obtained his PhD in Bioinformatics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where his research focused on identifying DNA methylation alterations in rare diseases. His work contributed to the development of approaches for detecting epimutations at the single-patient level and has led to several publications in clinical epigenetics and genome biology.

Dr Grolaux has a multidisciplinary background combining molecular biology and computational analysis. He holds Master’s degrees in Bioinformatics and in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology, and has experience working with diverse high-throughput omics datasets, including DNA methylation, RNA sequencing, and proteomics.

His research integrates statistical modelling and machine learning to better understand genome regulation, ageing processes, and disease mechanisms.
