The ISSCR is coming to Melbourne – and ARMI will be there

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) is coming to Melbourne and with it, it brings some of the greatest minds in stem cell research, including ARMI’s Director of Research, Professor Peter Currie who will be presenting a session on ‘Stem Cells in Organ Development and Maintenance’.

The not-for-profit organisation, established in 2002, has over 4,000 members from over 60 countries, all of whom work together to foster the exchange and dissemination of research and ideas in the field of stem cells. With the annual meeting taking place in Melbourne this June, it’s an opportunity from which ARMI will undoubtedly benefit.

The annual meeting, to be held from the 20 – 23rd of June, will generate two significant opportunities for ARMI; firstly, the chance to engage with leaders and innovators in the field and secondly, to network with industry specialists. As Director of Research, Peter Currie will be there not only to share his expertise but to introduce ARMI to fellow research scientists. These opportunities not only allow ARMI to leverage contacts and foster relationships in the stem cell space, but also allows us to forecast what the field may look like in the years to come, while simultaneously presenting us the chance to mould the future of regenerative medicine.

With the global regenerative medicine research community expanding, ISSCR continues to grow as the preeminent transnational, cross-disciplinary science-based organisation dedicated to stem cell research.
