Institute achievements

Since its inception, the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute has been a hub for high quality regenerative biological and medical research, which have translated into numerous high impact publications and which have strong commercialisation potential. ARMI is 12 years young, largely consisting of highly capable early to mid-career scientists, and our culture is defined by the wide breadth of cultures across multiple nations that sculpts its unique character and accomplished research.

ARMI is one of the largest regenerative medicine and stem cell research organisations in the world, comprising of 17 research groups and over 240 staff and students from 21 different countries.

In 2020, ARMI attracted $5.8m in research income in competitive and non-competitive schemes, with the majority of this funding from the funding agencies of the Australian Government; National Health and Medicine Research Council (NHMRC) and Australian Research Council (ARC).
